Are you in training compliance with your QC regimen?
Embraced in recent years are very formal standards with testing and expensively acquired certifications. These improved QC methodologies are now a feature of operational life detailed in standards including BRC, ISO 9000 series, ISO 9001-2008, Organic Food Production, etc. Almost our entire customer base operates to comply with these evolving standards today.
Our software used in the manufacturing process includes training sessions as part of our support.
Our training certificates are then used as part of the QC audit process for each standard, and as evidence of standards compliance during Customer Audits that our clients host when requested.

With the unusually warm April just passed, we are seeing many of our Fruit Farm Customers bring their equipment back on line after its winter “hibernation”. Average weight check weighing systems on such farms often have a hard winter, being shelved and kept in cold (often unheated) buildings over the winter months. It is almost inevitable that when the system is bought out for use in the new season that there will be minor teething problems with hardware treated like this.
When such problems occur, MCI Myrias customers appreciate the value of retaining Support with us. We can usually get the system up and running remotely, often the same day. If that is not possible a visit is made. Either way, minimum loss of system uptime in ensured.

We have recently been going through a rebranding process which has involved creating a new logo for our company based around our previous colours of red, blue and black and introducing an icon to represent us and our newly rebranded software system now called MCI Myrias.
As part of our rebrand we have also developed a new website in conjunction with Digital Media Consultants, WadeGair. You can now use our site to learn more about who we are, what we do and how our software, consultancy and hardware expertise can meet - and often surpass - your business needs.
And we also now have our new MCI Systems blog! A place for us to share our opinion and thoughts on what matters to our customers and to ourselves, especially during these ‘challenging’ times. So please feel free to subscribe to our RSS feed and we would welcome your comments and input to any discussion or subject covered here or on our website.

We are really pleased to announce that we have rebranded our Management Control software systems which were previously known as ‘Packing’ or ‘HarvestKing’ under the name MCI Myrias. We decided that it was time for a change and that we needed to find a more ‘generic’ brand name for our extensive and hugely versatile modular software system.
You will find lots of information about our software simply by exploring our new website (more about this in our next bl0g) but we had got to the point where we really felt that the names ‘Packing’ and ‘HarvestKing’ did little to reflect the multiple uses for our software and both were unrepresentative of the many modules available either on their own or as part of an integrated system.
We feel that MCI Myrias is a stronger name because it steps away from more specific wording - the use of ‘Harvest’ meant that this system would only ever appeal to someone looking for Farming software when in fact the modules available within this system have much broader uses. Whilst the use of ‘Packing’ restricted the obvious appeal of this software to a limiting packing environment, when again it has so many diverse and wide-ranging uses it did not seem appropriate.
Myrias suggest myriad to us - as in multiple or many. And that association really works for us. Our software has multiple modules and options available to suit the needs of our different customers. It has many great features - it can interface with any hardware or software and can provide real-time reports as and when they are needed. It also has many benefits - from streamlining your business process, to cutting costs and resources, to improving productivity, traceability and quality.
In fact we really believe that there are myriad - or should that be Myrias? - reasons to use our software but don’t just take our word for it. Have a look around our new website and find out why and how.
